I am running for re-election and ask for your vote on Tuesday, April 1 so that I may represent you and our community.
My advocacy for you is evidenced by my current volunteer committee work:
As Vice Chair of the Belmont Economic Development Committee, I strive to strengthen local business, encourage new intelligent development, and fill empty storefronts. Healthy commercial growth will lighten the tax burden on residents.
In my second term as member of the Warrant Committee, and as Chair of the Public Services Subcommittee I am committed to strong financial stewardship in our schools and town. I introduced the Compact to Voters to the Warrant Committee as a transparent, accountable path to controlling spending growth and mitigating the need for another significant override in less than three years.
A CSNA member (Cushing Square Neighborhood Association) I monitor and report important Precinct 6 and town news.
I am founder of Belmont-based business, Boston Women Connect, a community of women business owners and professionals in the greater metro area. In addition, I am an executive in a leading financial technology firm, a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments.
I am committed to representing all my Precinct 6 neighbors and to building a better Belmont.

I want to be part of the solution to meet these and other challenges in our wonderful town.
In my 26 years as a Precinct 6 resident, I have become increasingly concerned as Belmont careens from one fiscal crisis to another.
All good municipal decisions flow from a financially sustainable plan. Without such a plan, the future of our schools, our roads, services and our valued town employees are all jeopardized.

Belmont should assertively pursue PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) programs for large non-profits, increasing town revenue to support our schools and town services.
I will collaborate with town and school officials, and my fellow Town Meeting Members on the challenges and opportunities of today and of future Belmont.
